VolKo Privacy Policy

VolKo is a volunteer matching app for volunteers and partner organizations in Korea. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it to operate the service.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, password, date of birth, gender, account type, and language preference.
- Profile information: optional profile photo and organization photos uploaded by users.
- Organization information: organization description, tags, address, detailed address, region, and coordinates.
- Volunteer activity information: activity title, category, tags, address, description, available time slots, selected request time slots, request status, and volunteer records.
- Notification information: push notification token used to send service notifications.
- Service operation data: basic records needed to provide authentication, email verification, address search, and app functionality.
How we use information
- To create and manage volunteer and organization accounts.
- To let volunteers search for, request, and manage volunteer activities.
- To let organizations create activities and approve, reject, or end volunteer requests.
- To send account verification, password reset, and service notification messages.
- To show aggregate service statistics such as Total VolKo Hours.
- To maintain service security, troubleshoot issues, and provide support.
Third-party services
VolKo uses service providers to operate core features, including server hosting, database hosting, email delivery, address search, map tiles, and push notifications. These services are used only to provide and maintain VolKo's app functionality.
Data sharing and tracking
VolKo does not sell personal information and does not use collected data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Account deletion
Users can initiate account deletion from inside the app through the Profile screen. Account deletion removes the user's account profile and associated service records according to the account type and service operation needs.
